The company
Original furnishings for the home, inspired by the late 18th and early 19th centuries
Robert Steloff established Trade Secrets for the home in January 2013, after 18 years running the Los Angeles flagship for Rose Tarlow Melrose House.
With an evolving collection, the company specializes in the design and production of original case goods, seating and tables inspired by late 18th and early 19th century furniture, and a variety of home accessories.

Antiques & accessories, found and made
- Containers & Vessels Antique lacquer boxes, water buckets, demijohn bottles and vessels gathered from Europe and Asia.
- Objet d'Art Storage jars with marine adhesions, celadon ceramics, tribal currency and singular found objects.
- Baskets & Trays Finely woven collecting baskets, hill tribe baskets with lids, and trays carved from solid teak.
- Bowls Granary mortar bowls, ceremonial tribal bowls and hardwood vessels with the patina of age.
- Blankets, Throws & Pillows Reversible throws and recycled blankets, woven for the home.
- Accessories A dog house of architectural pedigree, vintage ladles and bamboo containers.

Robert's close relationship with the various artisans, workrooms and showrooms, and his collaborative approach to design, enables mastery in the art of producing furnishings tailored to each client's personal requirements.
Trade Secrets provides items and furnishings for the home, as well as interior design services, from residences in Brentwood and Little Holmby to Rancho Mirage and La Jolla.
